Red Rings Of Death
There are two types of Xbox 360 gamers out there today. There are those that are in it just for the fun of playing games to kill some time on a daily basis and there are others that live, breathe and sleep Xbox 360. When you are bombarded with problems on your Xbox 360 you can just send in your Xbox to Microsoft to be fixed and wait four to six weeks before you get it back again. Or you can perform your own Xbox troubleshooting in the comfort of your own home because you are a diehard Xbox 360 fanatic.
Even if you take pride in wanting to know your Xbox 360 inside and out, you have to be very sure that you have the right information at your fingertips because you just might be causing more damage on your problematic Xbox 360 without even realizing it. If you are some what familiar with all the Xbox troubleshooting garbage out there on the internet, you might have heard of the towel fix. Please do not attempt to try this Xbox troubleshooting method. Its been shown that the towel fix actually causes more damage to your expensive Xbox 360 and if you are not careful you might end up with a pile of plastic that no longer works. That is three hundred to four hundred dollars down the drain.
Another Xbox troubleshooting idea that spread like wildfire on the internet is placing your Xbox in the freezer with hopes of reducing the overheating problems. This is not a smart idea at all. After some time you will end up with electrical issues left and right and no one likes trying to pin point electrical issues.
